Jan Jones

I partner with individuals and organizations to support the growth and success of leaders as they serve their organizations’ goals and priorities.

I am a certified executive and leadership coach from the Hudson Institute of Coaching, Santa Barbara, and an associate certified coach with the International Coach Federation. My coaching practice unites with over thirty-five years’ experience as a senior healthcare leader serving in both operational and functional roles.

Throughout my career, my passion has been helping leaders and organizations perform in service to both mission and business realities – achieving personal success and collective outcomes through times of immense cultural and business change. I understand the volatile challenges and opportunities facing leaders, and I am committed to developing resilient and courageous leaders who are effective change agents and mentors of current and future talent.   I believe that coaching is a crucial lever in navigating these personal and professional waters by supporting insights and action that allow leaders to be more self-aware and effective, and in turn better able to serve the needs of their organizations.

Jan and I worked together for over a decade transforming a multibillion-dollar, multistate organization from an affiliation of independent parts to a successful and cohesive operating company. As a system board member and board chair for Providence Health & Services, I witnessed Jan Jones' artful work in building stronger relationships between the system board and the community ministry boards over a relatively short period of time. Jan skillfully created opportunities for open dialogue among the community chairs, including regular updates from around the system and acknowledged the many contributions of the boards to Providence's strategic plan. She set up the infrastructure for continued sharing and interaction between all levels of governance which continues to grow to this day.

Personally, I know Jan to be a person of integrity who saw her own role with Providence as a calling, not a job. I have no doubt of her ability to help executives understand one of their most critical roles is to create relationships at all levels of an organization, from the mail room to the board room.
